Frequently asked questions

View all FAQs
Will the Pomodoro timer stay accurate if I switch to another browser tab?

Yes. Instead of relying on background ticks that browsers can slow down, the timer checks your device clock so the remaining time is always accurate when you switch tabs.

How does the cycle of Focus, Short Break, and Long Break work?

After each Focus session, the timer moves to a Short Break. Once you complete 4 Focus sessions, it automatically selects a Long Break so you can rest before starting the next set.

Can I mute the completion chime when working in a quiet library or office?

Yes. Click the Sound On / Sound Muted button in the top bar of the timer to turn the audio chime on or off at any time.
